Movember

Movember plays a major role in the life of Dr. Sanjeev Bandi. For the last 19 years, during every Movember campaign, he has spent considerable time and effort raising money, writing health related articles and raising awareness of Men’s Health issues in Australia and worldwide. His achievements over the past 19 years have been truly extraordinary to say the least.

2026 Movember Campaign:

Thanks to the generosity of thousands of donors since his first campaign in 2008, Dr. BANDI has raised more than $800,000 individually, making him Australia’s highest ever individual fundraiser. As a Team, MOV~ing Mackay Cricket Club has raised more than $1.1 million since they started in 2011, and in 2025 became the first Team on the Australian mainland to break the $1 million mark. Nineteen Seasons of Giving

Nineteen Movembers have come and gone to town,
Each marked by faces, hope freshly drawn.
From cane fields to islands kissed by sea,
A brotherhood grew: bold, kind, and free.
Mackay stood first, with open hand,
Turning small acts to something grand.
A raffle, a ride, a friendly shave,
Each gesture a ripple, each dollar brave.
The Whitsundays shone their golden hue,
Where hearts beat steady, strong, and true.
Tradesmen, teachers, mates at the bar,
Each moustache told who we truly are.
Through laughter and tears, through loss and cheer,
They gave not just money, but meaning each year.
For men’s health, for fathers, for sons yet to be,
They built a bridge across land and sea.
Now nineteen years stand like waves in a row,
Each crest a story, each trough a glow.
And through it all, their kindness remains,
The pulse of these towns in generous veins.
So here is to the people who have never said NO,
Who light up Movember with courage and show
That giving, like living, is better when shared,
Mackay and Whitsundays, forever you cared.

16 Seasons Strong: The MOV~ing Spirit in Mackay and Whitsundays

From stubble to stories, from whispers to roars,
Sixteen campaigns for MOV~ing Mackay Cricket Club have opened new doors.
We Mo Bros stand tall, moustaches in flight,
With one dear Mo Sista shining in our champion’s light.
Together we have grown more than lip-bound hair,
We grew hope and courage beyond compare.
Each dollar we have raised is a promise, each smile a spark,
Lighting men’s wellness through mornings dark.
From Mackay’s greens to Movember’s stage,
We turned concern into timeless courage.
Eighty three thousand, one hundred and sixty six dollars in 2025 ($83,166),
Raised not for glory, but care at the core.
Since twenty-eleven, unbeaten we reign,
Year after year, through grit and rain.
No trophy can measure the hearts we have inspired,
No scoreboard can capture how deeply we have wired.
So here is to the team, the legends, the crew,
Who remind the world what good men and a woman can do.
Sixteen seasons and still on the rise,
MOV~ing Mackay Cricket Club, where true spirit lies.

Early action and prevention are key learnings to take from the Movember campaign and Dr. BANDI sheds blood, sweat and tears in making the common public aware of the health issues that men face.
